Our Book

The thinking and practice behind our educational experience as teachers and students were developed into the book EDUCATION FOR HUMANITY which was published in 2018. The book sets out the vision and practice:

Chapter 1: WHAT IS EDUCATION FOR? explains the principles of humanity in education.

Chapter II: AN EXPERIMENT IN HUMANITY describes an educational unit run on the principle of ‘shared humanity’. It also gives a student’s-eye view of how it worked in practice.

Chapter III: A HUMAN STORY challenges the ideas behind teaching “History not Herstory still less our human story” and provides an alternative where all the voices of humanity can be heard.
